One of the most accomplished and celebrated athletes of all time, Serena Williams has not played tennis in almost half a year, owing to a hamstring injury that has taken far too long to recover. Williams has been out of the WTA tour.

The American megastar has 23 Grand Slam titles to her name. Inarguably, she is one of the greatest personalities in sports.

Her break from tennis caused the former World No. 1 to focus on her family. Namely, her husband Alexis Ohanian Sr. and daughter Olympia. In fact, 4-year-old Olympia Ohanian even has her own dedicated Twitter account, run by Serena Williams and her husband.

Serena’s husband and daughter went to a magical place

Alexis Ohanian is husband to Serena Williams and father to Olympia. He recently posted a heartwarming picture with his daughter on Instagram and Twitter.

The father-daughter duo is seen at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. However, Serena is not in the photograph.

Nevertheless, the image is quite endearing, as Alexis holds Olympia in his arms as they look at fireworks together. Moreover, he captioned the snap with just how he felt- “The happiest”.

In fact, Alexis also describes Olympia’s amazement at the fireworks display.

 

In a follow-up tweet, the 38-year-old entrepreneur described Olympia and how she reacted to the fireworks. According to him, his daughter was staring at the fireworks for ten minutes, in awe. Olympia was just staring in awe the first 10 minutes straight,” he wrote.

Serena Williams must have missed being there for the beautiful moment with her family. However, the family did go to Disney World for the first time with Olympia two years ago.

Still no word on when Serena Williams will return to tennis

Despite being in recovery for almost six months now, Serena Williams has not disclosed a date for her return to tennis. In fact, she also confirmed that she won’t be participating in the first Grand Slam of 2022.

Thus, those hoping to see Serena Williams in Australia will be disappointed. Williams stated that is “following advice from her medical team.”

However, fans of the megastar will definitely want her to return to the court only after she feels perfectly healthy and ready. In the meantime, she continues acing the motherhood game and serving up wholesome moments to the internet.
