Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur displayed a brilliant performance to clinch the Madrid open title. She became the first Arab woman to win a WTA1000 title. The 27-year-old survived both a set point in the first set and a second set bagel to win the game 5-7,6-0,2-6. As the player made history. Jabeur’s Reaction to Thibaut Courtois Watching Her Game

In the post-game press conference. When a reporter asked her if she noticed that Real Madrid F.C. goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was there watching her game. Jabeur replied she didn’t see him. Although the reporter was sure about it, the Tunisian tennis star didn’t believe it. As the reporter suggested he was there at the start of her game, she later added that he might have been there to watch Alcaraz vs Djokovic, and then he must have left.

While the 27-year-old shrugged off the question. Suggesting that she still is not that famous and the Real Madrid star must have been there to attend the men’s final. However, she meant no disrespect and was not disappointed at all with it. She said she is sure next time some or other celebrity will come to watch her game.

“Respect for him, because, for me, it was the man of the match last time, so yeah. Well, next time, maybe someone else will come and watch me.” She said.

By winning her first WTA1000 title, Jabeur has made sure that she breaks the shackles off and inspires many girls out there in Tunisia and other Arab nations to take up the game and build their careers in sports. She had earlier mentioned that being the only Arab on the tour is difficult for her. She has always believed that if she succeeds, it will definitely encourage the upcoming generation.
