At Stuttgart, the Brit, Raducanu showed some tremendous tennis, as she won both of her matches against Storm Sanders and Tamara Korpatsch, respectively. Before her quarter-final match against the Polish player, Emma compared their journey as tennis players.

“Iga had been playing tennis full time for years before. She was on the ITF Tour, she was on the WTA Tour. I hadn’t played for 18 months, was sitting for my exams, and didn’t really play that many tournaments or trained very much. I was training like three times a week for 10 hours a week last year. So right now it’s about building robustness for sure, playing matches week in and week out,” Emma said

“You can’t really compare the journeys because we’ve had different pathways. Since she won the Slam she’s done extremely well and remained consistent. I’m not sure when that will happen for me but I’m sure I’ll get there,” she further said.

Notably, both the players have already won a Major title at an early age. In 2020, Swiatek won the French Open title with pure dominance. Last year, Raducanu became the first-ever qualifier to win a Grand Slam title, as she won the US Open title.

Who will win at Stuttgart?

Recently, Both Swiatek and Raducanu played in the Billie Jean King Cup for their respective countries. Iga had already shown some great form by winning three consecutive titles, including the ‘Sunshine Double.’ However, there was some question mark over Raducanu’s current form after a really poor Indian Wells and Miami Open.

It seemed like she finally got her consistency back after reaching the quarte-final at Stuttgart. Meanwhile, Swiatek is on a 20-match winning streak and won three back-to-back titles. Undoubtedly, Iga will be the favorite to win the match. However, the Brit could surprise everyone by taking out the no.1 player in Stuttgart.
