Recently, a Twitter user shared an article and in the caption, she wrote, “Totally fair and legitimate, right ladies? Biological male earns spot on women’s pro golf tour after transitioning LAST YEAR.”

After seeing that, the 18-time Grand Slam winner Navratilova retweeted, “Oh boy- not good LPGA, not good…”

Later, she got into a Twitter conversation with some fans, as she said, “That is funny. Watching mens golf and quite often the club head speed is over 170 mph while women I never saw hit harder than 140mph. And Bobby was too old to beat Billie. But a nice try:). So no – women do not hit the ball further than men.”

Notably, Navratilova was reacting to the news that a biological man named Hailey Davidson changed gender last year. Hence, the LPGA is allowing the golfer to play in their division. It is also worth noting that Davidson competed in the men’s tour back in 2015. In 2021, the golfer underwent gender reassignment surgery; in 2010, the LPGA Tour removed the ‘female at birth’ rule, which has now helped Davidson to play in the women’s division.
