During the press conference at the French Open, Serena had to face some weird questions, particularly from one journalist. However, Serena gave a perfect response to the journalist, who received heavy criticism regarding his absurd statement.
Serena Williams once lashed out at a journalist at the French Open 2018
The author of ‘Inside Tennis’, Bill Simons, interviewed Serena at the press conference of the French Open 2018. During the interview, the journalist implied that Serena wanted to get back to her baby Olympia. So, before asking any questions, he said to Serena, “We’re in this together, baby.“
Then, Serena replied, “No, we’re not. You’re not going home to a screaming baby.“
Notably, many fans criticized the journalist for calling Serena ‘baby’ and many accused him of being a sexist. Later, the journalist took to Twitter and issued an apology regarding his comments on Serena.

The journalist also asked her about Donald Trump’s weird comments about Serena losing to Maria Sharapova at the 2004 Wimbledon final. According to the journalist, Trump said that Sharapova’s broad shoulders and good looks distracted Serena. In reply, Serena said that she has never been intimidated by anyone in her life.

Meanwhile, Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian also took a jibe at the journalist. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Waited 14 years… for this? Pro-top: wait at least another 14 more years before asking another question.”

Notably, Serena was scheduled to play against Maria Sharapova in the fourth round of the French Open. Unfortunately, she pulled out of the match with a pectoral muscle injury. Before that, she looked in terrific form as she defeated the former Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty in the second round.
