Does the hectic work commitment often steal the simple pleasures of life? While the answer may be debatable for many, for Maria Sharapova, nothing can eat into the joy of quality time with her partner and son. After sharing heartwarming moments from a beach day trip with her family, the WTA legend has returned with another confession. Delving into her feelings, Sharapova showcases a down-to-earth charm that captivated the fraternity with a reminder of why the former WTA star remains an enduring favorite both on and off the court, even four years after her retirement.

Although Sharapova retired from professional tennis, she isn’t an all-day homemaker. The former WTA number one has built an impressive portfolio, showcasing her work in investments, strategic advisory roles, and the premium candy brand, Sugarpova. Created in 2012, Sharapova owns 100% of the brand, overseeing everything from day-to-day operations to product R&D, branding, and retail. Additionally, she has invested in Public.com, Therabody, Tonal, and Moon Pay. Sharapova also serves as a board member for the fashion company Moncler Group and continues to endorse Nike and Evian. Not to forget, pickleball has become her second favorite sport after tennis. Therefore, it is safe to say that the WTA legend remains just as busy as she was during her WTA tour. However, everyone deserves a holiday break, and Sharapova is no exception.

Recently, the former Grand Slam champion shared a reel on her IG story, showcasing the scenic beauty of California, surrounded by vibrant flower fields, a pristine blue lake, and Rocky mountains in the distance. Sharing the reel, she captioned it, “I forgot how peaceful this holiday is in the US. No emails. No Zooms. No kids’ gymnastics classes. No invoices,” adding a laughing emoticon. Her words resonated with the happiness of finally enjoying a peaceful and serene environment, otherwise taken away by her hectic work commitments.
