As the match against Tomjanovic ended, Serena got an emotional farewell. Fans across the globe and tennis celebrities joined in to pay their tribute to the retiring tennis legend. Serena’s former coach Patrick Mouratoglou also came up with a Tweet to give his regards to the American. However, fans were not impressed with his message.

However, the Frenchman split up with Serena after her prolonged injury break. Later, he announced a full-time association with Simona Halep.
