19-Year-Old American Rising Star Coco Gauff’s Effective French Open Glory Impresses Samuel L. Jackson as He Drops Rousing 3-Word Message

The American tennis sensation Coco Gauff has certainly come a long way since defeating Venus Williams at SW19 in 2019. She has become a force to reckon with on the WTA Tour. Currently, she is another player who is fighting hard to win her first Grand Slam in Paris. At the 2022 French Open, she came close but lost in the finals. Although she has struggled for form this year, she is not only aiming to repeat her last year’s feat at Roland Garros, but is giving her all to go beyond. Thus, her fans from all over the world are cheering for her victory, and that includes the renowned Hollywood actor, Samuel L. Jackson.

The young American sensation aims to come back to her previous year’s form that saw her go deep in various events. Her current stint at Roland Garros is reminiscent of the talent tennis fans saw in Gauff in 2022.

She eased past her opponents in the first two rounds and faced another young sensation, Mirra Andreeva, in the third round. Andreeva won the first set after a tough struggle. But the Georgia native showed why she is considered a sensation as she came back with gusto and won the match. Although she lost the first set, Gauff won sets two and three with only two games lost. The final score was 6-7, 6-1, 6-1.

Her performance was nothing besides fantastic and it even amazed the man renowned for his role as ‘Nick Fury’ in the Avengers franchise. Samuel L. Jackson dropped a tweet commending Gauff’s victory, saying, “@CocoGauff dope display today! Big Up 👊🏽👊🏽‼️💯“. 

However, this isn’t the first time that a big name from the entertainment industry has commended Gauff.
