At 20, Coco Gauff had achieved a lot of things that most of the girls at her age would’ve just dreamt of! From living in Atlanta during her early days to then moving to Delray Beach to have better training opportunities, Gauff has seen a lot in these years! And her parents have been an integral part of her journey. In late February, Gauff revealed her plans to purchase her first home. However, she also shared her apprehensions about leaving her parents’ home. Now that she has finally moved out, Gauff opened up about ‘adulting’.

Well, Coco Gauff’s incredible maturity at this age has been in the headlines time and again in the past! She has always been very much informed when it comes to politics and social issues. Gauff is someone who loves to speak her mind, and her maturity level has often been portrayed through her previous statements. This 20-year-old superstar recently embraced her ‘adulting’ journey by casting a vote in the USA’s presidential election. Speaking about her new experience to the National News, Coco Gauff said, “Obviously, I voted before in the past for more state, local elections, but first time voting for a presidential election. To be able to do your part felt really cool and empowering.”

Jumping from one experience to another new experience, how does Gauff feel about ‘adulting’, and how was her experience of shifting to a new home from her parent’s home? Coco Gauff shared a picture on her social media account with the caption, “Cheers to being a homeowner at 20. All glory to God.” Further explaining her experience of moving out from her parent’s home, she added, “I just felt like this was a time for me to move out. But I’m still in the same city as my parents, and my parents have a court at home, so I practice there still. So it feels somewhat the same.”

Not only that, Coco Gauff also spoke about how living alone has brought new dimensions to her life. “Obviously, I’m living alone, so I’m just trying to learn how to cook more, something I never really had to do living with both parents who like to cook. So it’s been something that I’ve been experimenting with, and had some mostly successes, some failures.”

Earlier this year, Gauff first revealed that she is on the lookout for a home of her own. On February 29 ‘The AO Show Weekly’ podcast, Gauff said, “Eventually moving out to my own place…Yeah, just moving out getting my own place and trying to be an adult. It’s a little bit scary, but I hopefully I’ll be alright.” Her parents definitely played a major role in helping her gain so much maturity at such a young age.

During an interview with the Daily Mail, she claimed that “I was definitely still able to be a kid. I probably matured faster than a lot of people, but I think my parents did a good job of trying to make it as relaxed as possible, set up an environment where I could still be a kid, and surround me with people who respected that.” Perhaps this incredible level of maturity is what helps her take up new challenges and embrace the journey a bit more!
