The world’s 7th-ranked tennis player is showing off her competitive side on the tennis court, leaving her fans amazed at her skills. Recently, she stunned her fans after playing a three-hour-long semi-final against the world number one. More importantly, Gauff ending up winning it in the most spectacular manner. But the biggest question is: did she really prepare herself to spend long hours on the court?

Well, during the post-match press conference, the 19-year-old tennis sensation talked about how not getting tired is one of the skills that she has been blessed with since her childhood.

She said, “Really, I think since I was a kid, I don’t know, I’ve always done pretty well. When I was younger, my mom would say I used to run all day, not ever get tired. When I was playing tennis when I was younger, my parents, really they never forced me to do anything. Okay, two-hour private, then you’re good, you can stop. I always used to want to play longer and longer.”

She also disclosed how she would spend 6 to 8 hours without pressure from her parents to go for continuous practice sessions. In addition, she added that the stamina is something that she got from her parents, and the rest is what she earned by training for long hours. Well, this is not the first time she has played a three-hour match.

When Gauff displayed similar endurance on the court

Last year, the 19-year-old tennis player created a career record by playing a three-hour and 11-minute match as she defeated the 2023 Australian Open champion, Aryna Sabalenka, in a thrilling National Bank Open third-round match.
