Even though the American has given many world-class tennis players, Serena Williams remains his favorite student. He not only recalls her brilliance from the early days of her career, but also keeps supporting Serena in her upcoming matches.

Recently, the renowned coach tweeted in support of the 23-time Grand Slam champion, as the 40-year-old prepares to start her campaign in the Wimbledon Championship 2022.

Serena Williams shocked everyone when she announced her return to the game after a long gap. Notably, the 40-year-old last played in the Wimbledon Championship of 2021. Returning after a year-long break, people are doubting her ability to perform. However, the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s coach has come out in the support of his pupil. Glorifying Serena’s strength and achievements, the 67-year-old reminded people to never count the champion out.

“If Serena is aggressive and flying around like batman and starting and stopping like spiderman and has that Compton rage that is baked in extra crispy never ever count out the heart of a champion,” he tweeted.

Although, it’s obvious that people will question her fitness as Serena is over 40 now, but surely we can never count the legend out.

Serena has no plan of retiring any soon

Serena was out of action for a long time. There were many rumors in the media about her potential retirement. However, the legend proved everyone wrong when she announced to play in the Wimbledon Championship 2022. While addressing the media in the pre-tournament press conference, The former world number 1 confirmed that she has no plans for retirement.
