Nearly Two Decades After Halting Her Modeling Career, Martina Navratilova’s Wife Julia Lemigova Re-Enters the Spotlight With a Stunning Photoshoot

WTA legend Martina Navratilova‘s stint with cancer is an inspiring journey of courage, love, and determination. Along the way, Martina had to suffer the gruesome pain of chemotherapy without any confirmation of success. However, what got held her up mentally throughout was definitely the love and support of her well-wishers. And while talking about some of Navratilova’s best friends, we can’t help but talk about Julia Lemigova – her wife.

Lemigova and Navratilova have now been married for almost 9 years and the couple seems to be as much in love, if not more, as on their wedding day. While Martina’s cancer put many things on hold, including adoption at the time, the Real Housewives of Miami superstar also let go of her personal career ambitions to stick by her beloved wife. After the birth of her child in 2005, Lemigova stopped modeling. However, with a recent Instagram post, Lemigova fans are now in for a treat as she announces a superb comeback into the limelight.

Posting a beautiful picture donning nothing but a casual outfit, Lemigova expressed her happiness at being able to come back into her career. After Martina Navratilova was declared cancer free and emerged victorious in her second gruesome battle with the disease, Lemigova is now looking out to build her career again.

Talking about this opportunity, she says, “Nothing shakes a smiling heart. Finally getting some of the selects from my session with @nicolelebriscreative & @acdstylingstudio and I am loving them so much!”. In the picture, Lemigova is smiling wide and confident posing beautifully for the camera.

Moreover, talking about the obvious jitters after making such an important decision, Lemigova confesses, “While diving back into modeling is always a little scary, I am so glad I did it with this team and @selectmodelmiami ❤️”. The former Miss USSR is really looking gorgeous and determined as she looks to restart her career and focus on her passion once again.

The couple’s relationship on camera might seem perfect to their fans, but there were definitely some bumps along the way which lovingly melted away with time. Lemigova recalled one such incident in Paris while she and Navratilova were dating.

She confessed how she shied away from the prying eyes of the hetero-normative society at the time and would not want to hold Martina’s hand, who is her wife today. She said, “At that time, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t even imagine making myself doing and Martina would hold my hands. And I would take my hand away. I know people can watch us they can see us.”

Lemigova and Navratilova both have their own struggles of owning their sexuality and had to go through a lot of mental dilemmas before they decided to come out of it. However, now it all seems like a fairy tale and looks like the two have really found their soulmate.
