Earlier this year, Venus and Serena Williams, along with Alexis Ohanian, made a massive revelation about their new investment. The trio announced a new collaboration, joining Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s golf league, the TGL. They put their money into the Los Angeles Golf Club, buying a massive stake. Now 2 months later, the club has added some new co-owners in the form of NBA stars, Thanasis and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The millionaire brothers are a force to reckon with on the NBA circuit. Giannis already boasts of some significant investments in MLB and MLS, that have turned out to be fruitful. He is growing his portfolio by venturing into golf.

The 28-year-old Milwaukee Bucks star is a popular figure on social media. Giannis often takes to platforms like Instagram to share important updates about his career, on and off the court. On this occasion, he took to his official Instagram handle to reveal his association with the Los Angeles Golf Club.
Sharing a post on Instagram, he said that he’s excited to join the likes of Serena and Alexis as he invests in the club. Further, he went on to add, “We want to make golf our own and for everybody. @thanasis_ante43, @kostas__ante13, @alex_ante29 and I are excited to announce our involvement as investors in @wearelagc – Los Angeles Golf Club, the inaugural team of @tglgolf. We couldn’t be more excited to shape the future of this sport with @776fund @alexisohanian @serenawilliams @olympiaohanian and @venuswilliams.”

With this, Alexis successfully invited Giannis to the club two months after joining Tiger Woods’ league. The inaugural season of the TGL will take place in January 2024. Recently, Serena and Alexis’ daughter, Adira, also joined the ownership board of the club and scripted history while doing so.

Serena’s newborn daughter becomes the youngest 2-club owner
Born this month, Serena and Alexis’ second daughter has become the owner of the NWSL club, Angel City FC, and the Los Angeles Golf Club. With this, Adira becomes the youngest 2-club owner in professional sports. She has taken over the record from her elder sister, Olympia, who is also a co-owner of these clubs.

With the Antetokounmpo brothers joining Alexis and his family at LAGC, it will be exciting to see how the club and the league develop in the coming years. Nonetheless, it is a win-win for the sporting fraternity, with the best of three worlds – tennis, basketball, and golf – joining hands together!
