Naomi Osaka has dropped a clothing bomb ahead of the French Open, shaking up the fashion world. Following her return to the tennis scene, Osaka is poised to make a step with Nike. The Japanese tennis star recently unveiled a new collection with the sportswear giant, stunning the tennis world with its boldness and style, leaving fans speechless and shocked in equal measure.

The 26-year-old tennis star is a Nike athlete who is seen wearing Nike outfits on the court. Recently, she dropped her latest collection with the same sportswear brand, which might have upset the tennis fans over Nike not pulling up to their expectations. The four-time Grand Slam champion took to her Instagram account to share a series of pictures emphasizing the new collection.

The caption reads, “Athlete. Mother. Creator. Naomi is in command of it all. Designed for all those who make every moment their moment, the latest collection from @naomiosaka marks a new chapter in her creative journey. The collection puts a refined spin on sportswear staples and singular outerwear pieces, with branded trims and discoverable details that tastefully bridge the gap between sport, luxury and functionality.”

Despite the fact that the majority of the collection is white, the long skirt has tank tops and is finished off with a sweater. On the other hand, earlier this year, during the Australian Open, the four-time Grand Slam champion apologized to the sportswear brand for not getting through the first round of the tournament.

She took to her Instagram account to share a picture of a billboard and wrote, ” Thank you @nike. I’m sorry I couldn’t show off the outfit longer. I’ll do better next time.” However, she repeated the same outfit for the Abu Dhabi Open, to showcase the outfit on the court. While it wasn’t her Australian Open outfit, definitely her recent outfit didn’t create much chaos, it was Osaka’s collection with Nike that upset tennis fans.

As soon as a tennis fan shared the new collection of the Japanese tennis player on Twitter, a lot of tennis fans came forward to share their happiness over the same. Some of them talked about how, even though they are huge fans of the 26-year-old tennis star, it’s the skirt that has literally gotten them. A fan highlighted how it makes him “think of techno kids in the 90s.”

On the other hand, another one was literally confused over the idea behind the long white skirt that literally looked like no initiative was taken. He wrote, “Naomi is cute. But what is this even? And… why? That skirt…”

Rather than beating around the bush, another fan pointed out how “the skirt looks weird and hideous.”

While most of the time tennis fans have adored the Japanese tennis player’s collection with the sportswear brand this time they tagged it as, “Horrendous.”

Lastly, a fan also took a jab on how it’s all about the designers that have used 2.5 out of their three brain cells just to create the outfit leaving the rest for Rafael Nadal, leaving none for others, the comment reads, “2.5 of those are used for Naomi 0.5 for Rafa and 0 for everyone else.”
