The Tennis world is shocked as the 30-years-old, Johanna Konta has announced her retirement from professional tennis. The Brit wrote an emotional message on her Twitter handle. Konta is absolutely grateful to be part of the WTA tour, as she believes she has lived her dreams.
Johanna Konta has had an amazing professional career. However, at the age of just 30, Konta has decided to move away from professional tennis. We wish Konta a very happy life ahead.

Johanna Konta retires at 30
Konta took to Twitter to announce this news and also penned down an emotional message.
She wrote, ” This is the word that I’ve probably used the most during my career and is the word that I feel explains it best at the end. My playing career has come to an end, and I am so incredibly grateful for the career that it turned out to be. “
” All the evidence pointed towards me not making it in this profession. However, my luck materialized in the people that came into my life and impacted my existence in ways that transcended tennis,” she continued.
Konta believes she’s extremely grateful to be a part of the WTA tour and has achieved her dreams. She stated, “I am so incredibly grateful for these people. You know who you are. Through my own resilience and through the guidance of others, I got to live my dreams, I got to become what I wanted and said as a child. How incredibly fortunate I count myself to be. How grateful I am.”
Konta has been an outstanding tennis player. And now that she is retired and will pursue other things, we are sure she will be a champion in everything she does.

Johanna Konta turned pro in the year 2008. Throughout her professional career, she has majestically won four WTA singles titles. Moreover, she also reached the highest ranking of World No. 4 in July 2017.
Talking about her Grand Slam achievements, she has reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and French Open. Despite not winning a Majors, she has showcased some truly scintillating performances in the Grand Slams.
