The tennis world has witnessed two of the greatest tennis player of all time in Serena Williams and Venus Williams. Combined together, the pair has succeeded extraordinarily. ‘King Richard,’ a movie based on their journeys and success, is going to be released soon.
In the pre-movie interviews, Serena opened upon her relationship with sister Venus Williams. Moreover, she even gave credit to Venus for providing the opportunity in the early years.

Serena Williams credit Venus Williams
Just before the launch of the movie, Serena and Venus are giving interviews and attending talk shows with the lead actor, Will Smith. In one of their interviews, Serena talked about how elder sister Venus opened the door of tennis for her.
Serena said, ” There would be no Serena if there wasn’t a Venus. Venus is so humble she doesn’t really take credit for that but she burst open that door and I ran through. She was my hero and she’s still my hero.”
Following this statement, Will Smith also gave his perspective on the importance of Venus for Serena. He quoted, ” It’s like Tiger Woods is No. 1 and his brother is No. 2.”
Notably, Serena acknowledged Venus Williams for providing the right platform for her. She has always considered Venus as her inspiration and will continue to do so.

Release date of ‘King Richard’

The American biographical drama movie will be released on November 19, 2021. The movie is based on the remarkable journey of Richard Williams, father of Serena and Venus Williams. It’ll be giving a peek inside the early days of the sisters training under their first coach, Richard.
Richard has been coaching the Williams sisters since 1994 and is still directing their paths.
