Serena Williams’ career is a tapestry woven with threads of extraordinary achievements, including winning her first Grand Slam at 17 in 1999, securing two “Serena Slams” (holding all four major singles titles simultaneously), and becoming the only player in tennis history, male or female, to achieve a Career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles. With a career spanning 26 years, Serena has undoubtedly gifted the world countless iconic moments, leaving one to ponder which of these legendary milestones she holds most dear.
Recently, she has partnered with Lincoln for an exciting new project. On March 27, she teased fans with a behind-the-scenes Instagram post, captioned: “I’ve had some pretty good mic-drop moments, nbd. 😉 Here’s my latest one with @lincoln…a little BTS of something all-new and better than ever.” While the post hints at something innovative brewing between her and Lincoln, Williams participated in a fun Q&A session during the campaign.
When asked about her biggest mic-drop moment in life, she didn’t hesitate to recall her days on the court. Her response was unforgettable: “My biggest mic-drop moment was definitely winning a grand slam pregnant. I mean, you can’t get a bigger mic drop than that. It wasn’t like I was a week; I was like nine weeks pregnant in the end. So that was kind of insane. And I didn’t lose a set, so…mic drop.” Imagine that!

Back in 2017, it was reported that Serena Williams remarkably won her seventh Australian Open title against her sister, Venus Williams, while pregnant. She defeated Venus in straight sets—6-4, 6-4—in just 1 hour and 22 minutes to secure her record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title. It had its tense moments, including Serena smashing her racket in frustration during the first set. Despite errors from both players early on, she dominated with powerful serving and decisive breaks later in the match.
According to Vanity Fair, only five individuals were aware of her pregnancy during the tournament: her husband Alexis Ohanian, her sister Venus Williams, and the doctor who had examined her. Neither her coach, Patrick Jean Andre Mouratoglou, nor tournament officials were informed of her condition at the time. A few months after her historic win, Williams shared a picture on Instagram showcasing her baby bump, accompanied by the simple caption:
“My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. -Your Mommy.”
Later that year, Serena Williams revealed her initial reaction to the life-changing news, stating that she was nervous after discovering she was pregnant just two days before the start of the Australian Open. “You hear all these stories about people when they’re pregnant — they get sick, they get really tired, really stressed out… I had to really take all that energy and put it in a paper bag, so to say, and throw it away,” Williams said during a TED Talk interview.

“I really felt that I didn’t have time to deal with any extra emotions, any extra anything, because, pregnant or not, no one knew, and I was supposed to win that tournament as I am every tournament that I show up [for]. If I don’t win, it’s actually much bigger news.”
With this new project alongside Lincoln, it’s exciting to see what’s next from the tennis legend. Her love for the Lincoln Navigator has been ongoing for years—she’s even created memorable moments with it before!

Serena delivers a stunning one-take wonder with her Lincoln Navigator!
Williams partnership with Lincoln dates back to 2018, when she became a brand ambassador for the luxury carmaker. Last year, after returning from the Paris Olympics in August, Serena received the newly unveiled 2025 Lincoln Navigator. Packed with features like heated and ventilated seats and front-seat massage functions, it’s the ultimate ride for comfort and style.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she wrote, “It’s here, and so am I,” adding, “I had to come check out the big debut of the all-new 2025 Lincoln Navigator, AKA my future ride.” For Serena—now a mother of two—the spacious SUV fits perfectly into her family and professional life.
Through her venture capital fund, Serena Ventures, and her beauty brand, Wyn Beauty, she continues to dominate in business and social media. Naturally, Serena rides her success in style—on January 27, she shared an epic Instagram reel featuring TikTok filmmaker Drex Lee. In the one-take shot, she stepped out of her $100K Lincoln Navigator, flashed a peace sign, and walked into her home. She captioned it, “Epic @lincoln 1 Shot with my trusty #Navigator 🚀,” showcasing her flair for cinematic perfection.
