Imagine the thrill of meeting your sporting idol up close and personal. Collecting an autograph is more than just a souvenir; it’s a tangible memory that can last a lifetime. It’s like a sprinkle of stardust for fans of all ages. Speaking of young fans, the American tennis sensation Coco Gauff recently shared a humorous lesson she’s learned from years of collecting autographs from tennis legends.
On September 17, Gauff shared a post on her IG account where she was seen signing on her cards. The post’s caption read, “Excited to bring the tennis world to @topps Get your Topps Chrome tennis pack to collect my autographed card.” During that same video, the 20-year-old tennis player was heard saying, “I would say my autograph is inspired. I try to make it as easy to read as possible because growing up I would collect autographs from tennis players and I can never remember who signed what. Because the signatures were all like wonky and fancy. “
Coco Gauff further added, “So I’m sorry. My signature is not as fancy as the other players. I try to make it simple. So it’s identifiable. So, that’s like my own thing of how I came up with my signature.” She has been in those shoes in the past and she exactly knows what a small effort from their end can mean to their fans.

For example, recently during the US Open, we saw security personnel had to step in and tell the young fans to return to their seats after they rushed forward to get an autograph from Coco Gauff. She was then still playing her match with Emma Navarra and Gauff was trailing by 5-3 in the deciding set. Perhaps the kids expected the match would end soon.
