The former world number one tennis player recently attended a Disney upfront event where she talked about her new documentary project with ESPN that will showcase her incredible journey as a tennis player and the significant triumphs in her personal life as well. Other than that,  according to Deadline reports, she also talked about her second pregnancy at the event. She made a surprising revelation that the Met Gala event was not in her plans for announcing that she was pregnant with her second child.

She said, “My big plan was to break my baby news at Disney upfront, but the Met Gala got in the way of those plans.”

Interestingly, the legendary American tennis player is a Disney fanatic. So much so that she got married in a Disney-themed wedding. To give a taste of her fandom, she recently revealed, in a TikTok video, her intention to name her second child after a Disney character. She also mentioned the possibility of naming the child ‘Scar’ if it is a boy or ‘Lady Gothel’ if it is a girl. So, it isn’t a surprise that she intended to make her pregnancy announcement at a Disney event.

Serena Williams’ first pregnancy announcement mistakenly slipped out 

Back in 2017, when the former world number one was expecting Olympia, she announced her pregnancy by sharing a snap on Snapchat, showing off her little baby bump. However, the 23-time Grand Slam Champion revealed that the announcement was actually a mistake, and she accidentally posted the picture on the social media site while attending a TED conference the same year.
