A first-look contract means that Amazon Studios will have the first chance to read and buy her script. The 39-year-old American and her coach Patrick Mouratoglou are both executive producers on it.
In the era of the extensive portrayal of characters and their stories, Serena Williams‘ story would be a sell-out. Until now, she has inspired the world from a tennis court, but now she would take fans on a different journey.
Serena said, “I’m very excited to be partnering with Amazon Studios – they are developing some of the most inspiring and important content for a global audience. I have a lot of stories I’m eager to tell, including a continuation of my own, and I look forward to sharing those with the world.”
Furthermore, numerous docuseries are already lined up behind the first one. Undoubtedly, tennis fans will be eager to know Willliams’ story more closely.
Film on Venus and Serena’s father Richard Williams
Running parallel to the pipeline with Amazon Studios is the story that HBO is also coming out with; however, Venus and Serena’s father, Richard, will be its protagonist. The film stars Will Smith and is titled “King Richard.” Therefore, it is fair to say that this is part of the Williams family’s legacy, and they will be long-remembered on this planet.
Serena played her last match against Naomi Osaka in the Australian Open 2021 semifinals, where she lost 6-3, 6-4. She is eyeing her return at the Italian Open 2021 next month.
