Naomi Osaka returned to the sport at the start of 2024 after a year’s absence. Albeit hoping for a good run, she couldn’t manage to bring better results in the tournaments she played. She turned her stint around in the Qatar Open when she managed to get on a winning streak. However, the winning form would end, too.

After her exit from the championship, she shared a message of appreciation for playing in Doha. Finding her demeanor that of a champion, her fans hyped her up for any future tournaments she plans to play.

Osaka went on a slight winning spree as she won the first three bouts of the Qatar Open. The Japanese player was stopped in her path by Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinal. The two fought toe-to-toe, but the Czechia managed to get the edge on her. After her loss, the four-time grand slam champion was not despondent.

On her ‘X’ page, she wrote, “Doha, you are absolutely one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to. It’s been an absolute pleasure playing here, thank you for all the support. Love you and I’ll see you next year ❤️”. Reading her note, her fans couldn’t help but hype her.

One fan said that she did a great job and should trust the process to return to her best level.

During one of the matches, she smiled and jumped after winning a point. A fan of hers shared the video and said it was the most beautiful thing they’ve seen. They also hyped her up as they wrote, “You’re getting there!

One fan commended her for having a positive outlook and said that she would reach her previous level soon. 

Another fan commended her for her efforts in the tournament and said that they were happy to see her back playing.

Osaka is likely to return in the Sunshine Doubles in the Indian Wells Masters. Her losses earlier this year worried her fans and the tennis world at first. But her performance in Doha shows that the four-time grand slam champion is still in there. After her return next month to the US, we might see an even more improved Osaka, who is being supported by her fans all the way.
