The 19-year-old Coco Gauff has made a name for herself as a promising tennis player on the WTA circuit. However, everyone, including the tennis player herself, is hoping to secure her first Grand Slam victory. In addition to the fans, Chris Evert, a veteran tennis player, is also eagerly anticipating the American sensation’s first Grand Slam triumph.
The biggest unknown, though, is whether the tennis player ranked No. 6 in the world will be able to live up to the expectations of both tennis fans and the 18-time Grand Slam champion. Or will the pressure to succeed will cause her to crumble?

In a recent interview with the Palm Beach Post, the former world No 1 tennis player discussed the sport’s future. Along with that, she also shared her expectations of a Grand Slam tournament victory from the 19-year-old tennis player before she turns 20.
Evert also shared that she will be surprised if the tennis sensation is not able to claim a major title before turning 20. She said, “Honestly, if she turns 20 without a major after what I saw from here at 15, I’d be surprised. When you look back at what she had then with that maturity and all the shots. I would’ve bet a lot of money she’d win a major by 20 years old.”
Further, she seems quite confident of the fact that the world’s No. 6 tennis player can win the upcoming French Open title.
The ‘Ice Maiden’ is one of the strongest supporters of Gauff. Do you remember last year when the 19-year-old reached the finals of the French Open? The former world number one praised the American tennis sensation for an incredible French Open campaign.
