Coming back to the court after a year, Serena Williams feels her time off the court is more of her life now. The 23-time Grand Slam champion took a break after suffering from a hamstring injury at last year’s Wimbledon.

Making a comeback at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, the 7-time champion yesterday attended the pre-tournament press conference. During the press conference, the former World No. 1 spoke about her life off the court last year.
The off-court life of Serena Williams
“It’s been totally different. Honestly, a part of me feels like that is a little bit more of my life now than tournaments,” the champion, eyeing her 8th Wimbledon title stated.
Serena Williams is one of the greatest players of all time. The on-court achievements of the 40-year-old stand tall among the majority of her colleagues on the tour.
Carrying her success in tennis into business, Serena has her own capital venture firm by the name of ‘Serena Ventures’.
Opening up about her engagements with Serena Ventures, Serena said, “When you do have a venture company, you do have to go all-in and it definitely takes literally all my extra time. And it’s fun.”
Serena’s trip to the Oscars
As mentioned earlier, Serena is a highly successful business person. However, known for trying new things, last year Serena got in the shoes of movie production. She, with her sister Venus Williams, came forward to produce the Will Smitch starrer, ‘King Richard’, a film based on the life of their father, Richard Williams.

Achieving massive success, the film was nominated for awards in the biggest stage in the motion picture industry, the Oscars. Describing her time off the court further, Serena spoke about her journey from the Grand Slams to the Oscars.
“Then the Oscars were really fun and the whole tour of that whole moment was incredible. To be a part of such an amazing movie. ”
