Unquestionably the most decorated tennis player to ever play on the tennis court is American tennis legend, Serena Williams. She has raised the bar for what it means to be an incredible tennis star in terms of her strength, endurance, and accuracy. To be more specific, her power terrified most tennis players. According to tennis legend Martina Navratilova, the power she put into her shots stood out from the rest of the tennis players.
The 59-time Grand Slam champion has been a long-time admirer of the 41-year-old legendary former tennis player for how she asserted her dominance on the tennis court and made such a huge impact in the world of sports as a tennis athlete.

When discussing the 23-time Grand Slam champion in an interview with NDTV back in 2015, the Czech-American former tennis player referred to her as the most energetic and powerful tennis player. And along with that, sent out a ‘bench press’ challenge to Williams to see her raw strength.
She said, “Serena Williams is the most powerful tennis player. Perhaps, ever I know she’s stronger than well I’m not sure she is that much stronger than I was in my in my heyday. You know, we’d have to bench press to see who was stronger back but tennis is more about just power. Serena certainly hits the ball harder than anybody out there.”
Furthermore, she emphasized that she has never seen a tennis player as strong as Williams, not even during her era. Moreover, she stated how she hit tennis balls harder than any of her fellow tennis athletes who played during that time.

Navratilova discussed a component of Williams’ legendary tennis career that was missing
The Czech-American tennis great discussed on ‘The Holy Grail of Longevity podcast show’, one aspect of Williams’ incredible tennis career that is lacking. The 23-time Grand Slam champion was not fortunate enough to have a rivalry like the one she shared with Chris Evert, according to the 66-year-old tennis icon.

However, Navratilova acknowledged that she faced competition from Justine Henin, and Venus Williams, her older sister. Furthermore, the 59-time Grand Slam champion discussed how the 41-year-old tennis player had no one like her to push her past her limitations.
