The 25-year-old tennis player has been away from the tennis circuit for the past few months, as she is getting ready to embrace motherhood for the first time. And she is making use of her free time to consider the many activities she wants to do with her child as well as the morals she wants to instill in him or her in the future.

In a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar, the four-time Grand Slam champion discussed a variety of topics. It mainly focused on how she is attempting to ensure that her child grows up in a very healthy atmosphere despite the ongoing mental health crisis that is unfolding in the US. In that conversation, the host asked the Japanese tennis player when she would like to teach her child about mental health.
The former world number one responded with a specific plan on how she wants to educate her kid about mental health as soon as possible. She said, “It’s never too early to teach children about mental health. It doesn’t have to be complex or too deep but simply to take moments for quiet, for meditation, for self-care.”
Along with that, she added that she wanted to take things slowly with her child to help him/her build a wonderful atmosphere for themselves by enjoying quality time with family. In addition, the four-time Grand Slam champion is a great mental health advocate. Moreover, she has been transparent about the difficulties she has had in the past few years.

Osaka mentioned how she avoided sharing something not right with herself in the open. She also shared how the outpouring of emotion from others regarding their own struggles made her feel pretty lonely at times.
