Mirra Andreeva’s character received a new face as she walked in for a creative interview! A mass audience is currently backing the 17-year-old as she’s taking down higher-ranked opponents one after the other. As the Russian teenager has made it to the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time by defeating none other than Aryna Sabalenka, the WTA star was treated with a surprise interview. The session included a concept of creatively walking stars in a virtual studio, leaving Andreeva in awe, and letting fans see a purely innocent side of hers.

The tennis star was brought into Eurosports’ ‘Cube’ studio directly from the court with the help of camera teleportation technology. As soon as she found herself standing across from the host just a blink after she was on the red dirt, the Russian gave an innocent reaction, making her precious in the eyes of the fans.

“Wow! What a technology,” Mirra Andreeva said, surprised as she opened her eyes, analyzing the surroundings like a little kid. It took several moments for her to believe the sight created by technology. Astoundedly asking the anchor if she could also witness the same, she interrogated, “Wow! Did you see that?”.

The Cube was originally developed as “a virtual studio built for the most innovative in-depth analysis and visualisation of sporting action,” per Dimension. The studio helped Eurosport launch the technology during last year’s US Open to help “broadcasters to interact seamlessly with their surroundings and enables features including beaming in of players for interviews.”

Mirra Andreeva served with a bouquet of historical records

Tennis fans questioned their sight for a moment as Mirra Andreeva managed to take down Aryna Sabalenka in the quarter-finals. At just 17 years of age, she not only showed true levels of commitment but also managed to break records that were established by tennis giants, rewriting them with her own name.

According to OptaAce, Andreeva became the youngest WTA star after Martina Hingis made it to the semi-finals at a grand slam event. The record created back in 1997 at the US Open is now claimed by the youngster, inviting new stages of glory in her name. Along with that, Andreeva’s victory over Aryna Sabalenka also crowned her as the youngest player to secure a win over a top-two opponent. This record was last hit by Monica Seles as she defeated Steffi Graf back in 1990.

Mirra Andreeva is currently looking forward to the hard-earned semi-final showdown against Jasmine Paolini. As she already has a wide array of records in her name, more victories would surely reward her with more achievements.
