The Miami Open 2024 is live in action, bringing a whole pack of surprises for the fans. While everyone was eagerly waiting to see Venus Williams back on the court once again, she unleashed her dominance, in an attempt to pave her way back into the tennis scene. Making it even more exciting, the tennis star’s amazing comeback attempt also compelled her biggest supporter to step into the arena.

After giving birth to her second daughter Adira, there was no sign of Serena Williams making an appearance on the tennis scenes. While she consistently kept on pushing Venus to continue her professional tennis journey, the WTA legend extended her support by making a surprise appearance in Venus’ inaugural match against Diana Shnaider.

Informing fans of her presence, the tennis legend recently shared a story on Instagram in which she can be seen witnessing her sister’s match, as she holds a seat in her box. As Venus continues to play with her sister’s support by her side, it still remains to be seen if she makes it to the next round.

Right after facing an early exit at the US Open last year, Venus Williams decided to keep herself out of the game. While everyone kept figuring out the reason for her decision, she gave it out with the help of a video on her YouTube channel.

“I went to Wimbledon and sadly slipped in the third game of the match and really got injured. I spent the whole summer pretty injured with my knee, like really struggling with it,” she mentioned, pointing at the injury that she incurred during the Wimbledon 2023. While she’s finally making attempts to regain the momentum in the highly competitive scene, it still remains to be seen how long will it take for her to do so.

“My little sister Serena told me I’m not allowed to quit and of course I would never quit but it’s a mandate! She said no, so I will be back on the court,” said Venus in a recent statement, informing fans about how she made a firm decision to make up her mind about a comeback. As both the sisters continue to support each other like they always have, the impact of it still remains to be measured.
