After taking a long time to heal from injuries, Venus Williams is now trying to regain momentum on the tennis scene. The tennis star is making a long-awaited comeback in the Miami Open. Although she had to face another disappointing defeat in her inaugural match against Diana Shnaider, the fans got a moment to see Serena Williams in the arena after a long time.
Serena, who consistently pushed Venus to get back in the game, stepped into the Hard Rock Stadium to support her sister for the comeback. While the outcome of the match didn’t go as expected, the retired Williams sister did meet up with former coach Patrick Mouratoglou.
Back when Mouratoglou switched sides to join hands with Simona Halep soon after ending his partnership with Serena Williams, everyone saw an imaginary line of distance between the two. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the tennis legend was seen meeting and greeting her coach, marking an end to the speculations in the minds of the fans.

The reason behind the speculation of the spectators was the sudden shift that Patrick Mouratoglou performed back in 2022. On being asked about the reason behind her decision to leave Serena’s side, he pointed at the tennis legend’s decision to not be a part of the French Open. “I went to ask her what she was going to do. It wasn’t very clear to her. I asked her if she wanted to go to Roland-Garros. She told me she didn’t know,” Mouratoglou said.
As the tennis legend made her presence count by greeting his ex-coach with a big smile, it was clear that the feud between them was imaginary and baseless.
Mouratoglou explains a bad habit of Serena Williams
Patrick Mouratoglou, besides leading the coaching team of tennis players like Simona Halep and Holger Rune, is also known for his active coaching tip series on Instagram. The renowned coach consistently posts videos in which he analyses the technical aspects of players along with explaining the pros and cons of it.

Picking a repeated mistake of Serena Williams’ forehand in a recent video, Mouratoglou explained, “When I started with Serena, she was doing the same. She was doing this. Why do this?” Along with explaining the correction of this move, he marked it as a bad habit in the caption. “Do you also have this bad habit when you hit a forehand?” he wrote.
