The world of tennis has experienced legendary players coming and going off the court, but some names are tracked even after they retire from their professional careers. Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian shares NWSL success credit with a special one
In a recent series of tweets, the American entrepreneur appears to be dragging people’s attention towards a space that, according to him, has great potential for growth. Alexis’ love for supporting women’s sports has now turned revolutionary as the entrepreneur’s words directly affect the interest in the space and how much investment it gets. A recent tweet by Alexis appeared to be rather surprising for fans and people with investing minds as the information he shared this time, came with numbers.
Alexis, remembering what people used to tell him when he planned on investing in an NWSL franchise back in 2019, shared his thoughts that said, “March 2019 — So many of y’all said I was gonna lose all my money buying an NWSL franchise.” The base of his words came out to be the recently revealed numbers of NWSL team valuations by Sportico, in which Angel City FC topped the list with a valuation of $180 Million. Being courteous enough to remember the support, Alexis gave credit to one American soccer player, who convinced him to look into the space.
