Legendary tennis player Martina Navratilova is probably one of the most vocal sports personalities on social media right now. On Friday, the American Supreme Court made a historic decision as they overturned the Roe vs Wade ruling. The former Czech-American tennis player expressed a lot about it on social media.

Meanwhile, many sporting organizations and associations also voiced their opinion about the ruling, including the NBA, WNBA, WNBPA, NWSL, and others. However, The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) did not issue a statement regarding the same. Unsurprisingly, Navratilova saw this and did not like their stance.

According to reports, the LPGA will not follow the other associations. And put a statement regarding the decision by the US Supreme Court. This news irked the 18-time Grand Slam champion, Navratilova, as she took to Twitter and wrote, Shame on @LPGA for this silence.

Earlier, WNBA and NBA put a joint statement regarding the Roe v, Wade decision as they said, “The NBA and WNBA believe that women should be able to make their own decisions concerning their health and future, and we believe that freedom should be protected. We will continue to advocate for gender and health equity, including ensuring our employees have access to reproductive health care, regardless of their location.

Is Navratilova the greatest tennis player ever?

Many fans consider Serena Williams the GOAT in terms of women’s tennis. However, some also believe Navratilova is the greatest tennis player of all time, and you can see why if you see her records.

In terms of winning matches, she has the most number of wins (2189) in the history of tennis, with a win percentage of 87. Along with her 18 Grand Slam titles, she has won a total number of 59 Major titles.

Additionally, no other women’s or men’s tennis player has ever won so many titles; both singles (167) and doubles (177), in history. Her rivalry with another American tennis star, Chris Evert, was one of the best.  Comparisons will always exist, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, Navratilova will always be one of the greatest tennis players of all time, if not the greatest.
