In a recent episode of ‘Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard’, Maria Sharapova talked about a lot of aspects of her personal life. One of those things was the change in goals and plans she had when she was just a sports person in comparison to the present, where she knows that she is not only a mother of two, but also an entrepreneur.

She shared, “When someone asked me what my plan was, as an athlete, I was like, I want to win more grand slams, I want to be number 1. In business, it’s different. Being a mom & juggling several things. Tennis was one thing, and now there’s several. The goal is having a healthy balance between those things being present, giving myself time, being more relaxed, and not constantly having to expect these high things for my body, but growing. And so, business is something that I continue to work on. And there’s so many things in business that I feel like I’m smart in a few and less so in others. So, I want to improve the things that I’m not yet well-established in.”

As a person juggling multiple things in their mid-30s, one would understand where her newfound respect for being relaxed and taking one thing at a time is coming from. She is also focusing on becoming more learned about things she does not know in business, and this shows what an amazing characteristic that is for an entrepreneur who does not have prior experience in their field.
