“I was just saying the guilt that you feel like leaving the house as a new mom going through my teens and my 20s and my early 30s, I got this down the tough girl I’m gonna be leaving my child. Oh no I leave the house and I think twice about it. What’s the purpose of my trip? Is it really important your thought perspective just completely changes,” she mentioned, delving into deep conversations in a recent podcast.

Sharapova admitted that being a mom has changed her priorities and perspective on life. The five-time grand slam champion’s revelation gave a clear look into the hectic schedule of a famous sports figure. Sharapova, who welcomed her son Theo 15 months ago, revealed how she had to miss the goals that she envisioned because of the Covid-19 pandemic and her pregnancy.

“I retired, we went into lockdown of Covid and I was pregnant and so I envisioned post-retirement traveling around the world and experiencing these amazing cities from different perspective and then I gave birth to him and then my world just revolves around him and work and yeah and I don’t know what I’m going on vacation,” she mentioned. While the former tennis legend mentioned her switch in perspective and priorities, her statement acted as a welcome insight for every feminine fan.
