Maria Sharapova may have left the tennis court but she is still certainly in the limelight. After retiring from the game the player has been seen roaming around the world. The Russian star has been seen at many of the big events of the film industry. The 34-year-old’s latest appearance coming at the Venice Film Festival being held this week. The retired tennis star stole the spotlight at the event.

Maria was seen wearing a magnificent dress on the Red carpet. The Russian ace could be seen wearing a silver netted-dress. The former world no. 1 player had all eyes on her as soon as she graced everyone with her presence.

Maria Sharapova to get married soon?
Maria had arrived in Italy earlier with her fiancé, Alexander Gilkes. The Wimbledon winner was seen having the time of her life at the Italian beaches. She was spotted spending some quality time with her future husband.

Sharapova had made the tennis world aware of her capabilities at the young age of 17. She won Wimbledon in 2004 and then went on to win many more titles in her 19-year long career. The rivalry between Serena and Maria has been the one to be most talked about in the last decade. The 2012 Olympic medalist had a very storied career. She announced her retirement from the sport last year after suffering many injuries and returning from the doping fiasco.
