When Alexis Ohanian steps onto the red carpet, all eyes are on him. But his heart belongs to his tiny superstars at home, his daughters, Olympia and Adira. The tennis world saw the proud husband of Serena Williams cheer for her during her debut as a host at the ESPYs a few months ago. However, behind the scenes, he was also celebrating the precious victory of his younger daughter Adira! It is a milestone that left the Reddit co-founder emotional and probably in a playful ‘dispute’ with Williams!

“I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama,” Ohanian wrote on his Instagram after the birth of Adira River Ohanian on August 15, 2023. The 41-year-old American entrepreneur and investor further added, “Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT….” Ohanian also mentioned how he was more ‘confident’ about having a newborn now as the couple were not “first-time parents,” at the time.

Be it their struggles to take out some quality time for their daughters or take them on Disney World holidays, we have keenly observed their special journey. Now, Adira is one year old and Ohanian has shared a special milestone regarding his toddler! Alexis Ohanian shared a clip of the 2024 ESPYs red carpet where the host (of Access Hollywood) asked him about the milestones his daughters have cleared back home.

Beaming with joy, Williams’ husband revealed that 1-year-old Adira had taken her first steps and uttered her first word! “Well, Adira, she has already taken those first steps and barely saying her first word and it sounds if you ask me like she is saying, ‘Papa.’” Adding to it he joked, “Mama would dispute this. But Olympia is doing great she is almost 7. Now, Olympia’s first word was “Mama,” because behind the scenes I’d be telling her like, “Mama, mama, mama.” The least you can do for Mama is make sure that is the first word. But Adira is amazing.”

He also mentioned how, meanwhile, an almost 7-year-old Olympia is thriving, excelling in golf and tennis lessons, and that he’s relishing his new role as her “daddy caddy” on Sundays.

Alexis Ohanian is certainly setting new standards for the new generation of fathers out there, and he does not intend to stop anytime soon! Even during the Father’s Day celebration in June, Ohanian shared a special tribute to his daughters on X!

And when an X user asked him how, he replied that his daughter, Olympia was his motivation to start his “life’s best work,” his venture capital firm Seven Seven Six. Furthermore, his Father’s Day post of this year also had the same essence.

“Happy Father’s Day to all my fellow Papas out there. We’ll keep trying to tell you kids how much you mean to us, and you’ll be sick of hearing it, and that’ll just encourage us to do it more 😃 Building companies is fun but @olympiaohanian @adiraohanian you two are the greatest things I’ll ever create and I’m so lucky to be your Papa,” Ohanian wrote on his X (June 16).
