Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian welcomed their daughter Olympia in 2017. Ohanian, at an event, thanked his young daughter for making him a better man. He also added that he was grateful that Williams brought their daughter into his life. Earlier in the event, he was awarded a prestigious award by the Billie Jean King foundation.

Alexis Ohanian stressed the need for a safe work environment in the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) while accepting an award. Upon receiving the award, he thanked his daughter and fans for their continued support and motivation. The loving father tells how he worked hard to make his daughter proud and set a good example.

Ohanian thanks his daughter for inspiring him to venture into NWSL

The Reddit cofounder and philanthropist was at the annual Salute to Women in Sports event, where he was awarded the Champions for Equality Award on Wednesday. During his acceptance speech, Ohanian dedicated his award to his five-year-old daughter and called to enhance the safety of women involved with the NWSL.

The husband of Serena Williams tweeted, “When my daughter asks me ‘what did I do?’– I decided two years ago that I’d spend the rest of my life making sure I had a damn good answer  so far so good. Still on the starting line tho.”
