Success can never arrive too late, can it? Ask Danielle Collins, who is having one of the best moments of her tennis career in her final year on the WTA Tour. Earlier this year, she announced that she’ll call an end to her career after the 2024 season. Now, she’s determined to have one last laugh before her retirement. Her grit and determination have translated into massive success for her, as she looks invincible at the moment. Collins’ brilliant run has also been recognized by her compatriot, Madison Keys.

Yesterday, Collins lifted the title at Charleston, the second consecutive title for her after emerging victorious at Miami Open. As a result, Keys took no time to appreciate her efforts.

Madison Keys takes a humorous approach to praise Danielle Collins

In the summit clash at the Charleston Open, Collins blanked Daria Kasatkina in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. The dominant nature of the victory was proof that Collins looked invincible of late. Following her victory, Madison Keys took to social media and shared a story of Collins’ victory. Additionally, she wrote, “We aren’t worthy.”

Keys’ sarcastic note indicates how there is no stopping Danielle Collins at the moment and no player can defeat her with the form she is in. For the record, the American star is on a run of 13 successive victories, with titles in Miami and Charleston.

Despite the form she is in, Collins doesn’t have much time left on the WTA Tour. She suffers from endometriosis and has been struggling with it for years. This was a major reason behind her early retirement. Even her Charleston Open final opponent, Daria Kasatkina, had some words to say about her premature retirement.
