‘Made Me Cry’- Serena Williams Husband Alexis Ohanian Narrates Childhood New York Knicks Heart-Break

Alexis Ohanian, the doting husband of American tennis ace, Serena Williams, recently shared a nostalgic story about his favorite basketball team. The Mayor of the Internet enjoys sports a lot. On Twitter, the Reddit co-founder expressed his fond memories of a heartbreaking game involving his favorite basketball team.

In one of his tweets, the multi-millionaire American investor admitted he was a huge fan of Giannis Antetokounmpo and his older brother Thanasis. In a recent Milwaukee Bucks game, the 28-year-old played a key role. To propel his team’s victorious comeback, Antetokounmpo scored 23 of his 28 points in the second half.

Serena Williams’ husband praises an eminent basketball player

Alexis Ohanian, the caring husband of Serena Williams, regularly updates his fans about his amusement over various athletes. On his Twitter, the Reddit co-founder also tweeted a congratulatory message for Giannis Antetokounmpo. He was highly influential in his team’s recent outstanding victory. His team, the Milwaukee Bucks had defeated the Dallas  Mavericks (13-12) 106-105 in their recent match. Ohanian recently tweeted out to a fan’s query, ” First time I saw @Giannis_An34 play IRL was pretty dope.” 

The Milwaukee Bucks held on even after Antetokounmpo fouled out to defeat the Mavericks. The Bucks have now successfully made this win their four consecutive straight victories. Antetokounmpo had 10 rebounds and started the game 2-of-12. He finished the game 10 of 20, falling short of the 30-point threshold, but he did make it nine straight games of shooting at least 50%.

The cheerful husband of Serena Williams further added in his tweet, “I never saw them IRL but my childhood Knicks losing to the Rockets in the finals made me cry 😢😢😢”

Along with being a basketball fan, Ohanian is also a football promoter. He co-founded the NWSL team Angel City Football Club. Ohanian once praised the NWSL athletes who are pushing for accountability and reforms.

Williams once cried and walked out of a news conference after a major title loss

In the 2021 Australian Open semifinal, Serena Williams committed 24 errors. She was defeated by Naomi Osaka, 6-3, 6-4. Since becoming a mother in the fall of 2017, Serena has lost all four Grand Slam finals. The 23-time Grand Slam champion was questioned by a reporter regarding whether or not the match’s errors could have simply been the result of a bad day. Williams had bowed her head and sobbed before walking out of the news conference.
