Simona Halep undergoes nose surgery

Halep took to Twitter to share her health update. She posted a detailed letter about her recent nose surgery. Letting go of the injuries and then recovering from them is also a part of an athlete’s professional career. The letter read, “As some might already know, I have been struggling for a while with nose problems and it got worse during the summer, especially in Washington. This problem made it hard to breath and even worse during the nights as I was going through complete blocked nose. The only way to solve the problem was to undergo a surgery.”

She further thanked the doctors who performed the surgery. And added that she will take a few weeks for recovery and will be back on the tennis court as soon as possible. This was Simona’s second nose surgery. She had her first surgery in 2016 after an illness-plagued start to that year. Before her first nose surgery too, she had an early exit from the Australian open that year.
