However, she registered her biggest victory in the round of 16 against former French Open champion Iga Swiatek. Ostapenko thrashed Swiatek in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

She stated,” Of course, Serena, I was, I love the way she played and, I mean she’s still playing now but yeah, she was like my idol, I think. she was the one I was looking up and she was playing very aggressive and it was very nice and entertaining to watch her she has like a lot of emotions when she plays.

Ostapenko to face Victoria Azarenka

Jelena Ostapenko has booker her place in the final four of Indian Wells. In the semi-finals of the competition, she’ll face the two-time Grand Slam champion, Victoria Azarenka.

Azarenka defeated Jessica Pegula of America to advance to the semi-finals. Moreover, the former World No. 1 looks furious as she hasn’t lost a single set on her way to the semis.
