“I love like meditating; I love just like stretching with my trainer; I love quiet time. Those are all things that I have kind of implemented into my work life… when I feel super anxious or I feel like overwhelmed, I like to do like deep breathing meditation, that helps me a lot just personally. Like when the anxiety gets high… I need to take a minute and I always tell my coaches, my team, I need a break, because my heart is racing… I love deep breathing and I love making my team do it,” Stephens further said.
It is worth noting that Stephens’ mother is a psychologist. So, in the past, she talked about learning a lot from her mom about the importance of mental well-being. Since childhood, she has been focusing on those aspects of her life, which made her a great champion today.

Earlier, Stephens had a pretty decent French Open 2022, as she reached the quarter-final in Paris. After that, many thought she would do well in the grass-court season as well. However, she lost in the opening round of the Wimbledon Championships 2022 to the Chinese player Qinwen Zheng.
Despite that disappointment, she is now focusing on the next Grand Slam event and possibly her favorite one, i.e. the US Open. The tournament will start at the end of August.
