American tennis has seen some generational talent over the years. In the 80s, Martina Navratilova moved to the United States to continue her tennis career. She dominated women’s tennis for close to three decades. Subsequently, she handed the baton to the likes of Serena and Venus Williams. They kept the American flag flying high with amazing performances, tournament after tournament. Recently, two of the country’s best players ever, Venus and Navratilova, banded together on a special occasion.
Venus and Navratilova haven’t been spotted together much. As a result, it was an extremely rare sight for tennis fans to watch the two legends together, sharing the stage.

Hours ago, Venus and Navratilova made their way to two exhibitions in Miami. It was at The House Gallery. Along with the two legends of tennis, collector Paul Berg was also present, as they honored the event with their presence.

The duo was present to honor two exhibitions at the event. One was The Art of Tennis by Martina Navratilova curated by Adriana de Moura, while the other one was Simmetry, unveiled by Hal Tragger, curated by Jade Matarazzo.
Entrepreneur Jade Matarazzo posted the pictures from the exhibition on her official Instagram handle. In the pictures, Venus and Navratilova could be seen posing together. While Venus opted for an all-black outfit, Navratilova wore a cream shirt with intricate patterns as they shared a smile on the wonderful occasion.

Navratilova has been a huge fan of the Williams sisters. On many occasions, she has lauded their game, while also mentioning the work they have done for the sport over the years, like fighting against gender-based pay gap. Earlier this year, she defended Venus as she received an inappropriate comment from a fan.

Venus receives Navratilova’s support
The former World Number 1 was playing in Birmingham this year, where she took on Camila Giorgi in the opening round. However, the American legend was struck by an unfortunate incident during that match. She slipped during an important rally and conceded the point to the Italian star.
The incident went viral on social media and one of the fans accused Venus of playing a victim-card. However, Navratilova came to her defense, saying, “Racist much, a**wipe?”

The incident clearly showed how much respect Navratilova has for Venus. Meanwhile, the latter is hoping to have one last laugh before she retires. She will make a comeback next year after regaining full fitness.
