Aryna Sabalenka is knocking it out of the park! Can you believe she is already in her 3rd consecutive final of the Australian Open? After her dominating 6-4,6-2 win against bestie Paula Badosa, she is now chasing history. The World No.1 will have the chance to become the first woman in 26 years to win three successive Australian Open titles after reaching the Melbourne final. But through this entire journey, one constant presence has been her boyfriend Georgious Frangulis who left a sweet message for her on social media.

Frangulis, the founder of the superfood brand Oakberry, has been a steady source of support for the Belarusian tennis star both on and off the court. He proudly shared the moment of Sabalenka’s victory on his Instagram story, captioning it, “Finals bound meu amor,” But that wasn’t all. Frangulis also dropped a comment on Sabalenka’s Instagram post featuring her match-winning moments, writing, “Let’s do this.”

Sabalenka, who went public with her relationship with Frangulis in 2024, has openly spoken about the impact of her boyfriend on her mental and emotional well-being. Reflecting on a difficult period last year when a shoulder injury forced her out of Wimbledon, she said, “But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support, and yeah, really happy to have him by my side.”

Aryna Sabalenka’s journey to this year’s final has been nothing short of dramatic. To book her spot in the final, the 26-year-old had to overcome her best friend and fellow tennis star, Paula Badosa. In a competitive semi-final match, Sabalenka emerged victorious, denying Badosa her chance at a maiden Grand Slam final. But it’s still all well among the besties.

Despite their close bond, the semi-final was fiercely contested. Speaking about the match, the World No.1 shared in her on-court interview, “We both wanted it badly. It’s our dream. Here, we’re just opponents. No matter what happens on the court, we gonna be friends after our matches. It’s tough to do but we agreed on that.”

Sabalenka even joked about mending things with her bestie, adding, “I hope she’s still my friend. I’m sure she hates me for the next I don’t know, hour, day, or two. I promise Paula we go shopping and pay for whatever she wants.”

Badosa, seeded 11th in the tournament, delivered an impressive performance to reach the semis, including a stunning win over world number three Coco Gauff. But her incredible run ended at the hands of Sabalenka, who is now inching closer to making history.

If Sabalenka clinches the title, she will become the first woman since Martina Hingis (1997–1999) to win three consecutive Australian Open titles. It’s a record that has eluded even the greatest of champions, Serena Williams.
