Despite winning the first set 6-2, Sabalenka was unable to capitalize as 19-year-old Gauff turned the tables to bag the next 2 sets 6-3, 6-2 on her way to the title. After impressive performances throughout the tournament, this loss was indeed a tough pill to swallow for the Belarusian.
