Naomi Osaka was set to reach greater heights ever since she lifted her fourth Grand Slam title at the age of 23. At the Australian Open last year, she defeated Jennifer Brady to win her second Grand Slam title Down Under. However, she hasn’t been able to hit the top stride since. The Japanese star has failed to win a title since her victorious 2021 Australian Open campaign. Her best result during this period has been a final appearance at the Miami Open.

This year too, the 24-year-old has endured an inconsistent run of form in the tournaments. Additionally, her injury concerns haven’t helped her cause either, as she has been forced to miss some big tournaments due to injuries. Recently, she issued an apology to her fans on social media.

Naomi Osaka provides an update about her recent activities

The former world number one took to Instagram to provide an update about her recent activities while issuing an apology to her fans for not posting much on social media recently.

Sharing a story on her official Instagram handle, she said, “Sorry I haven’t really posted much. Life’s been a bit wild lately. Here’s some moments in time from the past couple weeks though.”

Osaka has been in a disappointing run of form of late. Earlier this month, she suffered a first-round exit at the National Bank Open in Toronto and the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Osaka practices at the US Open

The two-time US Open champion shrugged off injury concerns to sweat it out on the hard courts at Flushing Meadows. During the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, Osaka suffered a limp exit in her first-round match against Shuai Zhang. However, the 24-year-old has provided some positive news for her fans as she is set to play at the US Open.
