‘Life Now Begins’: Serena Williams Writes Heartfelt Message to Tom Brady as He Leaves the NFL

The entire sporting world poured in tributes to Tom Brady as he announced his retirement from NFL after 22 seasons in which he won a record seven Super Bowl titles. Out of the numerous wishes that were sent his way, tennis icon sent her wishes to Brady on pulling off a historic career.

“You will be missed Im sure…but Life now begins! Excited for your future @tombrady,” Serena wrote on her Instagram story.

In an Instagram post last night, Brady explained the decision to leave NFL.

Serena’s husband Alexis wrote a detailed comment praising Brady’s legacy as he wrote, “Excited to see you on many more cap tables with us  no doubts you’ll continue your legacy of greatness with Everything to come.”

Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka also wished Tom Brady on a historic career. Coming to Serena, she is yet to announce her comeback tournament after pulling out of the 2022 Australian Open last month.

Serena intends to play on WTA tour soon after Australian Open withdrawal

The American is eyeing for a record 24th Grand Slam title this year as she might try to put in some match practice before the start of the French Open. She followed the same strategy last year. If Serena is fit, she could very well be part of Miami Open to be held in March.

Last year, the 23-time major champion was not fortunate as she struggled to make a mark in events after making it to the semis at the ‘happy slam’. En route the semis, Serena defeated the likes of Victoria Azarenka, Simona Halep, and Anastasia Potapova.

In the final four, the American lost to Naomi Osaka in straight sets as the latter went on to clinch her fourth major title in Melbourne. With each passing year, there is intense competition on the WTA singles circuit as a new champions are continuously emerging from the next generation talent.

Amidst the increasing challenges from fellow players, it remains to be seen whether Serena Williams will go on to clinch one more title and extend her greatness in the history of the sport.
