Her strength and skill on court is something her former coaches still swear by, especially Rick Macci. Rick never leaves a chance to appreciate Serena Williams on his social media channels and otherwise. Recently, he posted about her ‘hunger’ quality as he once again sang Serena’s praises.

One thing that Serena’s coaches always emphasize, especially her childhood coach Rick Macci, is that her legendary power and skills were innate abilities. Even as a kid, she showed the same will and determination as she showed as an adult on the court. And that is one of the many things that makes her the legend she is.

Recently, her childhood coach, Rick Macci, posted about what kind of competitive spirit Serena had even as a kid. He posted, “@serenawilliams every day in practice wanted to play a match. Her starving hunger for competition to take a bite out of somebody is the name of the game for any athlete and the number one goal as a coach is to get the player to compete better. Her competitive mindset, even as a kid, shows how she stands out and why. The GOAT quality in Serena, and even her sister Venus Williams, is truly inspiring for players even today.

Serena Williams has retired from tennis, but not her sister as of now. Earlier, Venus Williams had announced her comeback with the Australian Open 2024. But those plans seem to be shaky as of now.

2023 was a difficult season for Venus Williams as she could not go past the second round in any of the tournaments she competed in. Venus confirmed that she injured herself in the Wimbledon Championships and now won’t be returning to the Australian Open in 2024.

However, along with that, she also mentioned that she may be ready to play once again for her fans, probably in March. We were hoping to see Venus compete sooner, but her health is important too. Better later than never will be the hope of every Queen Vee fan.
