Both Williams sisters are well-known for their experiments with their on-court outfits. Hence, even the strict all-white dress code of Wimbledon did not restrict Venus Williams from adding a frill to it.

The seven-time singles Grand Slam champion wore a Tina Turner-inspired on-court outfit. With frills on her skirt and an elaborate neck, the design became a statement outfit that season. After debuting the outfit, she gave a heartfelt credit to the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
