The first Monday of May is known for hosting one of the most important of the year. And that is the Met Gala! Every year fashion and global icons walk the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Not just that, this event is 100% invite-based, which makes it extremely exclusive. Among the highly curated guest list this year, athletes from the tennis industry crushed it, including Venus Williams’ sister Serena Williams. However, Venus was surprisingly nowhere to be found at this year’s high profile fashion event.

Venus Williams found at MET later than expected

Even though Venus’ fans were dying to check out her red-carpet look, she missed it all. The theme for the special night was ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’. It was a tribute to the late fashion designer. Her fans were kind of disappointed in not being able to spot her among other athletes and celebrities, including Dua Lipa, Andrew Bolton, Michaela Coel, & co-chair Roger Federer.
