World No.1 Ashleigh Barty recently defeated her counterpart Daria Gavrilova in the second round of the Australian Open 2021. Barty didn’t lose a single set and even survived a tough tie-breaker in the second set.

Even though she committed a total of six double faults, she also delivered seven aces to seal off the match. The final scoreline of the match was 6-1, 7-6.

In the post-match interview, Ashleigh Barty spoke about her second set hiccup, her big bandage, and about her fans and their importance to her.

All this fascinated the former World No.1 player Andy Roddick. Barty certainly left a mark with her performance on the tennis legend, and he showed his love for Barty on Twitter.

“I like Ashleigh Barty…. don’t know her at all,” tweeted the former American player.

Roddick highlighted that even though he doesn’t know Barty personally, he likes her a lot. This is something strange as fans are confused whether it was Barty’s performance or her witty replies that were able to impress the US Open 2003 winner.

Whatever be the case, Roddick is surely happy with Barty and expressed his liking for her on social media.

Roddick didn’t just write it once and continuously reiterated his liking for the World No.1 player. Fans are surely finding it special as even though the former tennis player hasn’t had an interaction with Barty, he is praising her to this extent.

“I just like her,” added a cheerful Roddick.

Although Barty hasn’t responded to Roddick, fans are expecting that the Australian player will revert back soon. They are sure that it’ll be a tricky response- the one for which Barty is known for.
