The Wimbledon Championships 2021 are going on and fans are desperately missing one player there. She is none other than Eugenie Bouchard who ended up as the runner-up of the Grand Slam in 2014. She hasn’t played much tennis in 2021 due to a shoulder injury but fans can see her soon on the court again.
Former World No.5 Eugenie Bouchard recently posted a number of pictures of herself on her Instagram handle. In that, one can see her in the gym where she is cycling. The Canadian star is looking happy and training really hard in order to make a comeback on the court pretty soon.

“The joys of being on a bike,” wrote Bouchard in the Instagram caption.
Bouchard is wearing a green gym suit is doing some cardio exercises on a bike in the gym. She last played a professional match at the Monterrey Open 2021 where she lost in the first round against Zhu Lin. After that, she injured her shoulder and didn’t play any match during the clay-court season.

Eugenie Bouchard in the 2021 tennis season
Bouchard didn’t enjoy an ideal start in her 2021 tennis season as she could not even qualify for the main draw of the Australian Open 2021. As a result, things started on not a really high note for her but she managed to get back on track.

She played well in the doubles category at the Lyon Open 2021 and but ended up as the runner-up of the tournament with her partner, Olga Danilovic. Then came the Guadalajara Open 2021 where Bouchard reached the finals of the tournament- this time in the singles category. However, Sara Sorribes Tormo steamrolled over her and denied her the title. Following this, she lost in the very first match at the Monterrey Open 2021.
After seeing her recent videos on Instagram, fans believe that Eugenie Bouched is recovering from her injury. They expect her to see her back on the court as soon as possible. Will she be able to win a title this year?
